Is Everything Breaking?

So I was just listening to some music and kind of staring at nothing...I happened to glance at my headphones which I got 3 years ago for my birthday and are of a high quality brand.  I realized that they are already breaking.  Now three years is probably a good length to have something before it starts breaking, but it made me wonder if everything eventually breaks...given enough time.  Whether this being inanimate objects, humans, animals, and possibly even relationships.

Does everything slowly become worn out? Eventually cracking, and one day it just...falls apart or gives up?

People and animals pass away, your favorite t-shirt gets torn, your favorite technology you spent a ridiculously amount of money on stops functioning.

But does this also apply to relationships?  Do people eventually wear on each other and decide to give up?  Can relationships crack and one day break to no repair?  Do people in your life have a timecard?  A due date?  A time when they have ultimately changed so much over the years that they have cracked and reformed in ways that don't fit the puzzle anymore that is called your life?

Then what do you do? Do you throw that relationship in the recycling bin or the trash? Or do you try and hold on to it and keep it in your closet with the rest of your past relationships.  Or do you try and hold onto it and for the rest of your life and dwell on the fact that you just can't fix it...and continuatlly try to prove yourself and those around you wrong.

What do you do?

Relationships are very different from Bose headphones. I guess if you want to be completely "morbid" about it, then yes, everything "breaks" eventually. The thing is, though, I think love persists to live on, as if encapsulated into its own little snowglobe that you can take out, shake it up, and enjoy its beauty at anytime.

The joys of wonderful memories with people.

And that's why Alzheimer really sucks. Unless you were an evil person and did a lot of harm to others, in which case, maybe it's a blessing.
